WELCOME to the homepage of the Clotho's Children. We are a handspinning guild based in Richmond, VA. Our guild usually meets on the third Saturday of each month. Check our website for time and location. Clotho’s Handspinners was established in 1982 and we now have approximately 75 members.

The mission of Clotho's Children Handspinners is to promote handspinning through education and demonstration, to preserve our cultural heritage and promote its future in Central Virginia, as well as to provide opportunity to our members to share and understand techniques, knowledge, and love of the craft.

  • A fiber-related program is presented at monthly meetings.
  • We participate in handspinning demonstrations at local museums, parks and festivals.
  • We sponsor workshops presented by nationally known spinners and other fiber artists.
  • Several of our members are available to teach handspinning.
  • Members are eligible to use our guild library resources, rent equipment, and enjoy workshops at a bargain rate.
  • Annual dues are $15.
